The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss is such a classic book, that I doubt there are very many people out there that haven’t read this. The reason I wanted to make this a Classic Book of the Day is because I think that it is important to read widely! If you haven’t read this one to your young child in a while, make sure you include some Dr. Seuss in your repertoire because variety is the spice of life, and not every book you read can be new.
Also, I wanted you to be aware of the website www. Seussville.com which is a great place for you and your young child to share in the Seuss experience! There are games and activities and all kinds of fun things that young children will just love to explore!
The Cat in the Hat is a mischievous soul at that, but he tries to make indoor fun for some children on a bad weather day. He makes a big mess with Thing 1 and Thing 2, then comes back with a machine he uses as his own personal cleaning crew! This book is classic rhyming fun from the founder of the Seussian rhyme!
Enjoy this classic piece of children’s literature with your young child, then check out the Seuss website www. Seussville.com!
